Ya know that point in a big project where it looks worse than when you started? I am there right now!!
My house looks like a disaster zone. I am trying to get everything ready for the upcoming school year before I start to work in, I don't know, like 26 days. Can you tell I am a bit of a planner? We are moving kids to different rooms and Mike's office to a different room so it is crazy right now!
At least I am half way done!!

Life with boys
The Countdown
Our life as a family of six is going to change dramatically in 26 short days. I start work full time in a position that is a LONG way from home. Mike will be taking the kids to school and picking them up. I will get home about an hour to an hour and a half after they get out of school. Thankfully this is only temporary and will only last this school year. Once I graduate in May, I won't (hopefully) have to work so far from home. But internship positions are few and far between so I am thankful to have a great one!
Now that I am back to myself again, I really want to blog each day until I start work. I have not posted one picture of the kids this summer. So...check back tomorrow for actual pictures of our summer fun!

Limbo
I am not good at being in limbo. I need a plan, I need order, and I need structure!! That is just how I am. And the last few months have been spent in limbo and it shows. I have been grouchy, unmotivated (unless it pertained to my dissertation and then I was very motivated), and really just down right depressed. But no more. The perpetual state of limbo is now over!!! Yay!!!!
Mike can attest to the fact that the old Holleigh is back. (I am driving him a little nuts with all of my to do lists! I love a good to do list!)

Addyson the Princess
Addyson and I were playing princesses tonight and I asked her who her favorite princess was. She told me (and I don't even remember who she said, I guess my memory is officially going) but she then asked me who mine was. I pointed to her and said, "You are my favorite princess."
She stopped where she was, cocked her head to the side, and took at least 30 seconds to a minute to think that one over. The expression on her face was priceless. It was a look of shock at first and then it turned to serious contemplation. It was adorable! After a ton of contemplation, I am guessing that she had decided that my response was a valid answer and she smiled and said, "Thank you!"
I just thought it was adorable. I hope she always sees herself as a princess.
One another note, my daughter tonight asked for a "mikini bikini" at the mall. Why at three does my daughter think she needs a bikini???

I'm back!
I was going to make my blog only available to invited readers but it was too big of a pain and right now I just want the easy way out. So we are back to everyone being allowed to read. And don't worry all 5 of my avid readers :), I was going to email you all when I had set it up but I never go that far.
My dissertation defense is Tuesday morning so please say a big prayer for Sharon and I. This is very close to the final step in this crazy long process of completing a dissertation. They don't tell you how involved it is when you start, because if they did, no one would stick around.
I hope you are all doing well, and I will update soon!
Back to getting everything ready for Tuesday.
