My Baby Boy Started Kindergarten This Year!

I can hardly believe my baby boy will be 6 next month. What happened to all of his baby years? What a blur.

Brady is my baby boy for sure. He has a "Mommy smile" that will melt your heart and he will flash it with one mention of the mommy smile. He is a sensitive giant. He is quick to be annoyed with his brothers but he is also quick to look to them for approval, hug his sissy when she falls down, get excited to see his buddy Collin, run to Mommy when she comes home from work, and play hide and seek with Daddy.

A few facts about Brady right now:
  1. Loves milk (regular or chocolate)
  2. Not big fan of eating but currently on a nutter butter kick
  3. Loves to build with Lego's
  4. Nicknames are: Lightning, Brady Quinn, Brady

I found a few old pictures that were in a file I had forgotten about. So here are a few old ones of Mr. Brady Quinn.

9 months old!! My most favorite baby age!!!!
Jake and Tyler pushing Brady. Look how little all three of them are!!!

Brady on his second birthday!! Wonder what he was thinking.

Zack and Brady playing at the beach. I could eat that baby up with a spoon!!

My big Kindergartner. I love you Brady Quinn more than you will ever, ever know and I am so proud to be your Mommy!!

Great day!

Today was a great day. It started with a really LONG 2 hour and 20 minute drive to work in the rain but work was good. The time just flies by. But then I got to take Ms. Addy Kate to gymnastics and it was wonderful!!!!

One of the best Mommy moments for me is walking my sweaty little girl out of gymnastics. She was all smiles, drinking her water bottle. So cute and I am so happy to be able to share moments like these with my baby girl!!

The wonderful day just went on because we walked in the door to three happy boys. I did not hear one complaint or raised voice or arguing brother ALL night. It was blissful!!! Oh can it be like this every night???

Mike update

Wow, two blog posts in a row!!

Here is the update on Mike. If you know my husband in the real world and you see him, give him a pat on the back because he is one wonderful man. He is a real estate agent in an economy where many real estate agents are getting out. He has persevered and even picked up a part time job during some really slow times for a few months. He has done whatever it takes to support all six of us.

He has done all of this while being Mr. Mom. I started work three weeks before schools started for the kids so Mike had all the boys all day everyday while I worked. Kinda hard to financially support us all and take care of the kids. But he managed to do it!! Now that they are all in school, he has to take all four to school and pick all four up. So it cuts his work day short but we feel so blessed that he has a job where he is able to continue to do it. I'm not sure how this year would be working without Mike working from home and being willing to take on so much.

And while I'm at it, he also helps with house cleaning, makes the kids breakfast every morning, does ALL the household shopping, helps with the laundry, our errands, takes the kids to any appointments they need to go to, and any other task that needs to be done. He is my hero!! I love you honey!!

Oh, and shameless plug, if you need to buy or sell a house, give him a call. He will do a fantastic job!!! (And he does works nights and weekends when I am home if he needs to)

Updates

I should make an effort to update my blog daily. It's not like it takes that long but for some reason it just seems like something else to do. But I'll give it a try. I think I will update each of the six of us over the next week. Maybe I will even take some pictures!! :) And who knows, maybe I'll even make it private!!

Day one...Update on me

I love my job!! I could probably write that about a hundred times and still not have the full effect. I have been in school for forever and I am finally in the job that I have worked so hard for. I love being in a school district. It is just a great environment. If you have ever had the desire to work in the schools and you can't decide, I would say do it. I LOVE being in the schools. I think being the "School Psychologist" is perfect for me. My office is at the Administration Building so I have this great retreat if anything gets crazy but then I get to be all over the district in all levels. Wonderful!!! And it certainly helps that I work with some of the greatest people ever. I prayed for a great supervisor and for the other intern and I to work well together. I could not have been given two better people. I feel very blessed.

The commute is long (between 1 1/2 to 2 hours each way) but it really isn't bad. I like it in the morning because it gives me a little time to regroup from being "Mom" and move into "work" mode. I listen to a morning radio show and the time flies by. The way home is not quite as fun because I am just ready to be home but I talk on the phone and catch up with friends the entire way home (thank goodness for unlimited cell phone minutes!!)!

I have adjusted my life and I am happy. Only 8 1/2 more months until I walk across the stage. It has been a LONG journey with many bumps and detours along the way. But I thank God that he has guided the path and I think it has played out exactly as it was meant to.

Stay tuned for the next update....

New Pictures

I took new pictures of the kids last night and added them to the blog. The kids were all very cooperative with picture taking but I was not in love with the way they came out. I did Jake and Zack's by themselves last and I should have looked them over before we went inside. One day soon I will take some more and take more time with it.

Enjoy the new pictures. :)
